The Davie County High School Band program has a long and wonderful tradition of excellence. Throughout the years, ensembles conducted by Paul Reichle, Walter Graham, James R. Daugherty, Bill Winkler, David Gaston, Roger Staley, Bob Patillo, Kathy Ferebee, Marc Schaub, and Andrew Jimeson have received superior and excellent ratings at state contests and festivals in various grade levels since the opening of the school in 1956. Our program consists of more than 200 students performing in Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band and various small ensembles.

That's right! The DHS Band is going to Europe! November 23-30, 2013 we will be traveling to Munich, Salzburg and Vienna. Our students will be visiting the home of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Vienna Opera House, the House of Music, and hear performances of authentic German Music as well as experience history by visiting Dachau concentration camp and Neuschwanstein Castle in the German Alps.

Congratulations to the 2012-13 War Eagle Regiment Leadership! I am not exaggerating
in the least when I say this is the hardest decision that I have ever had to make when it comes to drum majors. You all were extremely good!

For the 2012-2013 school year we will be going with THREE drum majors.

Our final concert of the year will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Brock Performing Arts Center in Mocksville. The concert will begin at 7:00pm and tickets are $5.00 at the door.
Students need to be at the Brock at 6:00pm.

The application for the 2012 Edwin Owens Scholarship is now available. Click on the link below to apply. All applications are due Friday, May 18.

The 2012 Marching Band Camp is scheduled for Monday, July 30 through Friday, August 10.
Times will be available over the summer.

Remember: EVERY Marching Band member is required to attend band camp!
