BAND BOOSTER UPDATE
Please take a few moments to read our Band Booster Update
- MARCHING BAND -
Regular Marching Band rehearsals will begin Thursday, February 11th. Rehearsals will be from 3:50-5:15 pm. "B DAY" students and "virtual" students are able to participate and will need to be dropped off in the student lot of the high school. Rehearsals will take place on the practice field near the bus lot, behind the academic wing.
- ATTENDING & PARTICIPATING IN CLASS -
Each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, ALL band students are expected to attend band class. Whether students are "in-person," "remote," or "virtual," they are expected to be in class on time and stay for the entire class. "Remote" and/or "virtual" students, not physically at school, are required to have their cameras on (for the whole class period), instruments with them, and participate in rehearsal from their remote location with microphones muted. If a student fails to participate in class (i.e. does not come to class, does not have an instrument, does not turn camera on, etc.), there is an alternative assignment on Canvas that is expected to be completed for a grade and to document attendance.
- WEDNESDAY ASSIGNMENTS -
Each Wednesday band students will have one or two prerecorded, virtual lessons they will need to watch and then answer a few questions. These assignments are graded and also serve as their attendance check for the day. If students do not complete these assignments they will be marked absent for the day.
