FALL BAND CONCERT - posted 10/01/18
The Fall Band Concert is at 7:00 pm on TUESDAY, October 16th at the Davie High School Auditorium.
  • Admission is $6 per person at the door OR $20 for a season pass.
  • Band students need to be at the school for stage setup and warm-up / sound check at 5:45pm.
  • The auditorium doors will open at 6:45pm for general admission audience members. No one is allowed in the auditorium until that time.
  • Audience members are welcome to sit and relax in the cafeteria until the auditorium doors are open.
  • ALL of our band concerts are required and count as a test grade. This grade is also 41 percent of the student’s quarterly average. Therefore, it is vital that all students attend if they wish to receive a passing grade in  band.
  • Concert Recordings are offered through 421 Music Studios. They offer CD’s, DVD’s and Blu-Ray’s of all of our performances.
  • PLEASE be sure that you have all concert attire taken care of this week. 
BAND CLASS FEE - "FAIRSHARE" - posted 9/3
This is a reminder that the $30 "Fairshare" fee is due by Friday, September 14th. This can paid with a debit or credit card, via CHARMS, or payment forms are available from Mr. Jimeson in the Band Room. You can also print the forms HERE.

AWAY GAME THIS FRIDAY - posted 10/14/18
Our game this Friday is against Glenn HS. We will be wearing full uniforms for the game.  Please make sure you bring your LONG, BLACK SOCKS to wear with your uniform. 
DATE CHANGE - posted 10/14/18
The homecoming game that was originally scheduled for October 12th has been moved to October 26th. Our Homecoming festivities will take place on this date. 
DATE CHANGE - posted 10/01/18
The home game that was originally scheduled for October 26th has been moved by the NCHSAA to November 9th. This is to accommodate schools in the eastern part of our state that were affected by Hurricane Florence and the resulting floods. Our SENIOR NIGHT will take place at this game. 
PICKING UP STUDENTS - posted 9/3/18
​Administration has asked that parents DO NOT pick students up in the bus parking lot ​after rehearsals or away games.  Students need to be picked up in the front parking lot of the school or the student parking lot.  Parents ARE allowed to pick students up in the bus lot after HOME GAMES.

Charms is a data managment system we use for practically everything in the HS Band. Through this system, you can make online payments to the band for things like your fairshare,  Wind Ensemble dresses, and Marching Band Fees.  This allows you to pay with a debit/credit card if you so desire. Thank you for all of the phone calls and messages regarding the loss of my grandfather.  He has been to majority of our concerts since I have been teaching at Davie and he always enjoyed hearing your performances. 

2019 BAND TRIP NEWS  - updated October 14th, 2018
IT'S NOT TOO LATE!!! Due to the overwhelming number of students and parents that have signed-up for the trip to London and Paris, the travel company has re-OPENED enrollment. Enrollment will be closed permanently once we reach the 82 passenger mark and we're closing up on that number quickly! Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity!

To sign-up for the trip, go to https://www.eftours.com/2123471mb and complete the enrollment process.  There is a $95 enrollment fee that will secure your spot on the trip. COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER - posted 10/01/18
Thank you for getting out there and selling some cookie dough! The orders will be submitted this week and you should allow 3-4 weeks delivery time on these items.  Many students collected money and turned it in already. That is Great! Other students opted to wait until items are delivered to us before they collect. This is fine, but no merchandise can be given to buyers until money has been collected form them.  Checks are made to DHS Band Boosters.

 LABEL YOUR INSTRUMENT CASE - posted 9/3/18
Please be sure that your ​personal instrument has a tag that is labeled  with your name.  Some students have gotten luggage tags from the dollar tree in the past, while others have labeled their cases with printable decals.  Whatever method you prefer, just make sure your instrument is labeled ASAP. 

BAND SPONSORSHIP CHALLENGE - updated August 22, 2018
Our first fundraiser of the year is a our "Band Sponsorship Drive" and it is in FULL SWING!  This will  go through our Fall Concert on October 16th.  Click on the button below to print a copy of the sponsorship form.  Take the form to local businesses in the Davie, Statesville, Clemmons, and Salisbury areas and talk to them about our band. Don't just go in and start begging for money. Let them know about the Davie High School Band program and ask if they would be willing to be a 2018-19 sponsor. After you visit an organization or business, make sure you enter it on the Sign-up Genius Tracker so we don't end up asking them more than once. Also, be sure to check the Tracker before visiting a  business.  The student that brings in the most sponsorships will win a cash prize ranging from $50-$100!
