2019 London & Paris Trip Information
We are only 10 days away from our trip! That means you need to get those "last-minute things" done ASAP.
Here's a "last-minute" checklist...
1) Make sure you have set up your phone plan/wifi service if you are planning to do this.
2) Get to the bank and order currency if you plan to do this while we are state-side. It is far cheaper to do it here at your bank.
3) MONEY: Again, it is recommended that for London: you have £100 + theatre money (if going). For Paris: €75 + €30 for Eiffel Tower and River Cruise (see #8)
4) TOMORROW is the LAST day to send in medical forms to Mrs. McDaniel (the school nurse) for the trip.
5) Don't forget that everyone (adults and chaperones included) needs to turn in $100 cash for tips by MONDAY, November 18th.
6) FYI...If you have signed up to see a musical while we are in London, you will pay for your ticket there with British Pounds (cash). You will not send that money to me. Remember that it is £35 for Wicked and £40 for Mamma Mia.
7) There is no special dress code for the musical.
8) So far the weather in London is looking very similar to what we are seeing here except rainy.
9) Our tour guides have adjusted our itinerary slightly and I should have a finalized version tomorrow or Friday. They did say that they have gotten permission to do a Seine River cruise in Paris for €15 (cash) per person if you choose to do it. This is not required, but I have done this twice before and it is great! It will probably be a little chilly this time though! Also, if you would like to go up in the Eiffel Tower, you can pay to do this as well. Ticket prices vary based on your age and whether you take the stairs or the elevator. Just FYI...I climbed all 704 stairs last time. It was painful. This time I will be taking the elevator...
10) Be sure to go back and look at the slide show from the trip meeting and make sure you are ready!

To help prepare us for our visit to France, Mrs. Wall
(former DHS French teacher) has graciously agreed to share some of her knowledge with us via Youtube and some documents.
Please take a few moments to watch the two videos and read over the words and phrases she has prepared for you.
Thank you Mrs. Wall for your help!
